I've had so many conversations with women who are trying to reconnect with themselves... the parts that can get buried beneath work, responsibilities, and taking care of everyone else.

That's why we created Awaken Her Wonder.

A wedding that felt very, very us 🤍🐓

Before we got married, we spent a lot of time writing our own vows together. It ended up being one of the most meaningful things we did, a chance to really reflect on who we were as a couple and what kind of marriage, family, and life we wanted to create.

One of the promises we made was not to take ourselves too seriously.

And then our wedding immediately gave us a chance to practice.

Our goldsmith, who made our rings and worked right across the street from the town hall, came to the ceremony and stood quietly in the back… until his phone rang with the most realistic cock-a-doodle-doo ringtone. Everyone started laughing and looking around for the rooster.

Honestly? Perfectly us. And apparently foreshadowing, because the next year we built a chicken coop and welcomed our own hens.

Then, as “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” played at the end of the ceremony, we jumped off the stage together, hand in hand, laughing, and somehow I survived in heels.

A little chaotic. A little symbolic. Fully us.

Since then, life has brought many moves, new jobs, big adventures, hard losses, and the beautiful work of building a blended culture-and-language family. But that vow still holds: love deeply, jump in together, and don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Meet Kara Lucas ✨

At Mosaic, we believe some of life's most meaningful moments happen when we slow down enough to notice them.

That's why we're so excited to have Kara guiding some of the most restorative experiences at Awaken Her Wonder... from a full moon yoga flow under the stars to an outdoor sound bath and restorative yoga.

When we asked Kara about a favorite childhood summer memory, she shared: "Sleeping outside in a sleeping bag, staring at the stars and imagining what was out there in the universe."

We love that this retreat isn't about escaping life. Iit's about making space for moments like these again.

A little more of our story ✨

Mosaic started long before it had a name.

It began at an international Friendsgiving in Arkansas, where Tiziano showed up by bike with baked pasta, Carli was making glühwein, and one conversation somehow moved from food to work to the deeper questions of life.

Since then, our story has stretched across Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, and the U.S. We built our relationship across countries and cultures, learning that the most meaningful experiences are often the slow, local, unexpected ones — shared meals, hidden places, handmade things, and conversations that stay with you.

Mosaic grew from our desire to help people slow down, reconnect, and experience life with more intention — with themselves, each other, and the places they’re in.

That same heart is behind our first women’s retreat, Awaken Her Wonder, August 28–30, 2026, in the Sierra foothills.

My inner child adores simplicity.

Watching my son play is one of my favorite reminders of this. Give him a little water, soap, and a bowl, and he can be completely engrossed... exploring, experimenting, laughing, and discovering for half an hour.

No agenda.
No productivity.
No perfect outcome.
Just presence, curiosity, and play.

So much of life moves fast now. Social media, technology, responsibilities, and constant noise can make our attention feel short and our inner voice feel loud.

But sometimes, reconnecting with ourselves starts with something beautifully simple: water, movement, music, making something with our hands, laughing with other women, sitting outside, and remembering that joy does not have to be complicated.

That’s part of what we’re creating with Awaken Her Wonder, a weekend to slow down, quiet the noise, reconnect with your inner child, and make space for rest, creativity, play, and connection.
